The Hongkong Prize 2023

The hongkong prize is a competition that recognizes writers who cover Asia and Hong Kong in their work. Winners receive cash awards and access to Hong Kong’s top research facilities. The contest is highly competitive, but it’s worth the effort if you want to build your reputation as a writer. The prizes also include shopping vouchers and F&B perks.

The Colours of Humanity Arts Prize 2023 invites local artists to delve into the theme “Our Changing World”. Artists are encouraged to interpret this broad theme in different ways, such as socially, culturally, technologically, and environmentally. The award’s logo and trophies, inspired by the ancient Chinese talisman of luck, juxtapose two precious elements—a pearl and a pierced jade amulet—and their positive connotations in both the Chinese and Western cultures.

In the past, the hongkong prize has celebrated many remarkable achievements of the local community. It has paid tribute to individuals in society who exemplify the very spirit of humanity by putting it into practice and action. Since 2007, the prize has recognised more than 90 people for their dedication in promoting our core values of ‘Protecting human life, Caring for the health of the vulnerable, Respecting human dignity’.

One of the most important aspects of HK prize is that it’s a merit-based award. This means that the judges will only evaluate the work based on its quality, relevance, and style. It’s not for everyone, but if you have the right writing skills and a strong understanding of Hong Kong history and culture, winning an HK Prize can be well worth it.

The hongkong prize is open to all artists who reside in Hong Kong. Applicants must submit their artwork online before the submission deadline. The finalists’ works will be displayed in a public exhibition. Shortlisted art works will be sold after the exhibition, and proceeds will go to support the work of Justice Centre Hong Kong.

In order to be eligible, entrants must create an account on the ArtCall website and upload their work by September 25, 2023. The artworks must be created by the applicant himself or herself and must not be copyrighted. The judging panel will select five winners. The first-place winner will win a cash prize of HK$200,000, while the second and third-place winners will receive HK$40,000 and HK$20,000, respectively.

The HK Prize is a great way to showcase your talent and get noticed by the Hong Kong media. Not only will you be able to gain recognition for your work, but you’ll also have the opportunity to meet some of Hong Kong’s top journalists and expand your network. You can even win other cool prizes, like free travel to Hong Kong! Just be sure to read the terms and conditions carefully before submitting your entry. Good luck!
